Slim Relays & SSR

RELAY AND OPTOCOUPLER MODULES

Functionality in a Wide Range of Applications:

Whether relay sockets or pluggable relay and optocoupler modules, WAGO’s array of relays and optocouplers offer a solution for any requirement. Use them in any sector of industry including process technology and power engineering, railway applications and machine engineering, as well as general control cabinet construction.

Your benefits:

  • Large range of coupling and timer relays
  • Easily connect conductors from 0.34 to 2.5 mm2 (22–12 AWG) without preparation
  • Switchable loads from 1 mA to 16 A (e.g., lamp loads)
  • Wide range of accessories (e.g., adjacent jumpers, markers, system cables)
  • Easy to operate and service

Relay Sockets with a Miniature Switching Relay (788 Series)

WAGO’s 788 Series Relay Sockets are ideal for switching applications in both industrial and process automation. These modules can be used either with two channels or for reliably switching higher loads (e.g., lamp loads) up to 16 A.

Advantages:

  • Quick and simple elementary relay replacement after a failure
  • Compact housing: just 15 mm (0.590 inch) wide
  • Commoning options on both control and load side
  • Tool-free connection via Push-in CAGE CLAMP®

Sockets with a Miniature Switching Relay or a Solid-State Relay
(857 Series)

WAGO’s sockets with a miniature switching relay or a solid-state relay are the perfect combination of housing and electronics.

Advantages:

  • Pluggable MSR and SSR for DC and AC applications
  • Same profile allows the use of a single in-line, push-in jumper
  • Quick, easy replacement of relays in case of failure
  • Tool-free connection via Push-in CAGE CLAMP®
  • Ex approval (Zone 2)

Sockets with an Industrial Relay (858 Series)

WAGO’s DIN-35-rail-mount 858 Series Relay Sockets are designed for conventional industrial relays with standard pin spacing. These sockets carry relays equipped with two or four changeover contacts. During maintenance, they allow quick relay replacement without removing conductors.

Advantages:

  • Push-in termination of solid and ferruled conductors from 0.5 mm2 (20 AWG)
  • Dual conductor entries with Push-In CAGE CLAMP® connection technology
  • Manual operation in case of failure or during commissioning
  • Relay status indicator to stay updated visually
  • Relays with gold contacts for dry switching circuits

Maximize Space in the Control Cabinet

New Solid-State Relay Module with Lower Power Dissipation at Higher Load Current

Maximizing the limited space available is the primary goal in control cabinet manufacturing. WAGO’s new solid-state relay module (SSR module) can help: It switches a limiting continuous current up to 8 A. Due to low power loss, significantly less heat is generated. Thus, with the same total power loss, a higher packing density, i.e. a larger number of switching elements, can be realized in the control cabinet.

SSR modules are ideal for applications where a coupling level between the PLC and the load to be switched is required. Because they work without moving parts, there is no mechanical wear. As a result, they achieve a long service life, switch noiselessly and are unaffected by shock and vibration. WAGO’s SSR modules use sockets that are pin-compatible with standard relays. This greatly simplifies relay replacement.

Your Benefits:

  • New SSR module now switches loads up to 8 A.
  • Lower power dissipation reduces heat generation and allows for higher packing density.
